Dean: US Won't Win in Iraq

Kerry calls U.S. troops terrorists?

WARNING: CONTAINS A LINK TO LIMBAUGH SHOW.

JOHN KERRY: I don't agree with that. But I think what we need to do is recognize what we all agree on, which is, you've got to begin to set benchmarks for accomplishment; you've got to begin to transfer authority to the Iraqis, and there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the -- of -- of -- of -- historical customs, religious customs, whether you like it or not. Iraqis should be doing that. And after all of these two and a half years, with all...

Witch says fellow pagan out to get her

Bob Engborg, a retired Daytona Beach police officer who specializes in strange and unusual crimes that involve occult, or hidden beliefs, said Monday he agrees that the note was written in Theban and the suspect most likely is a fellow pagan -- probably someone who dislikes Jill Pagan.

"This sounds like an internal thing between other people of her faith," Engborg said, later adding, "They don't like her and the work she is doing or the way she is doing the work."

A Very Jolly Day

Attended the 26th Annual Swedish Christmas Fair at the Hollywood Palladium. Highlights included the Lucia Pageant pictured here and some excellent meatballs.

With the spirit of Christmas upon us we headed towards the city of Pico Rivera, home to Lyon's Christmas tree farm. Nested beneath enormous powerlines off the 710 freeway, this is one of the surrealist places in the city. The sign says "start a family tradition" but according to the owner, Lyon's tree farm will be no more after this season.

We picked out the cheapest and smallest tree we could find. Lesli thought it was cute and Avery seemed to agree. The farm owner laughed when I presented him with our Charlie Brown tree saying, "I guess someone had to buy it".
Sure it's small but so is our place and looking at the tree right now, I think it's just fine.
