Air

Winds blew the smoke in from the fire in the valley. You shouldn't breathe it, but it sure looks neat.

Supergrass

Went to see these guys do a free in store at Amoeba Records tonite. Allegedly, this "show" and the Troubadour are the ONLY west coast dates. If that's the case maybe they shouldn't have bitched about the sound and cut their set short. That's why Supergrass will remain behind Oasis, Charlatans, Stone Roses, et al, when it comes to great Brit-pop bands. Pussies.
Oh, one more thing...attention uber-hypsters: lose the fedoras! Ridiculous.

FEMA

The message from FEMA and the US gov't in case of a disaster (man-made or natural): You are on your own.
Here's my checklist for those of us living in highly concentrated areas:

1. A motorcycle (big enough for two adults and possibly small child. small enough to get between gridlocked traffic)
2. A gun (dude, i'm not fan of violence but someone is gonna want your motorcycle)
3. A wad of cash (at least $1,000. Get your hand on some now cause the atm's won't work)
4. A couple gallons of water.
5. A box of balance bars.

This should get you out of town safely. Good luck!

I've been fascinated by this stuff for awhile. Click on the link and this link. Best to open with itunes cause they seem to get pulled offline as quick as they arrive.

I See Hawks In LA

I had been dying to see this band cause they get so much hype in LA as a great alt-rock country band. Probably a bit older and less weird then I hoped for, it was still a good show. Outdoors in downtown Los Angeles, lunchtime, free show. Check out the link below. hee-haw!
