Escape from LA pt.1
I know you all have been patiently waiting for the next entry in my blog, so here goes. Lesli and I decided to take a trip up to the Pacific Northwest in search of some peace of mind and to visit family (which consequently negates the search for peace of mind). Because I'm so cheap and hate to fly, we thought Amtrak would be the way to go. The Coast Starliner left Union Station in LA three hours late. We were assigned two nice seats on the west side of the train which turned out to be a nightmare. You see Amtrak as it turns out is what people who aren't retarded enough to take the bus use. Behind us sat this piece of white trash who figured everyone around her would love to here about her telemarketing job, difficult pregnancy, and jailed Uncle. Friends, you know my nonexistent patience was pushed to the edge. Instead of throwing her from the train, we made our way up to the viewing car and took in some beautiful sights along the Southern California coast.

I'm diggin' those shoes, Ron kicks it old school.
I'm a big fan of the Chuck Taylor's and the perspective that the pic was taken. Were you on the train or sittin on a rock? You gonna be in Seattle? Dennis B. and Jeff M. are there. I can get you contact info. We're stuck with red tide here. It stinks!
It's good to know that traveling is eternally challenging - even without two five year olds, a cranky father-in-law and roaming charges.
I will sleep well tonight.
Did you come through Portland? I said, DID YOU COMING THROUGH PORTLAND?
Boosh,
that was a different generation though. they knew how to suffer. i get pissed if my connection speed to the internets is slow.
